Learn to Decorate a Barbecue Cookie Set for Father's Day
When you think of giving Dad something special for Father’s Day, a grilled steak or barbecue ribs usually come to mind. But what about giving him something he won't even expect? Barbecue Cookie Cutter Set
This thin barbecue cookie cutter set includes 4 different barbecue designs.
Each of these cookies are 4-inches tall and about 2.3-inches in width. As a collection, they fit perfectly in this BRP long cookie box (12" x 5" x 1.5"). You can purchase these cookie cutters as the 4-piece set, or each one individually.

If you have a Kopykake or Pico projector, just print it out (or pull it up on your mobile device) and you are good to go. For those without a projector, follow the suggested steps below by tracing the design onto the cookie with an edible food marker.
The Cookie Decorating Process
For these BBQ grill cookies, you will need the following suggested colors:
- Red royal icing (I used Americolor Super Red.)
- White icing. (I used Americolor Bright White.)
- Black icing (I used Americolor Super Black.)
- Gray icing (I used a touch of Americolor Super Black.)
- Tan icing (I mixed Americolor Gold with Americolor Electric Green and a touch of Chocolate Brown.)
- Burnt Red icing (I mixed Super Red with Chocolate Brown and a touch of Super Black.)
- Dark Brown icing ( I mixed Chocolate Brown with a touch of Super Black.)
- Yellow medium icing (I used Americolor Egg Yellow.)
- Green piping icing (I mixed two parts Americolor Egg Yellow and one part Americolor Mint.)
Hot Dog Cookies
Step 1
Begin by first filling in the middle hot dog section with burnt red icing. Let this icing set.
Next, fill in the two outer sections with tan icing.
Step 2
Finish this hot dog cookie by adding the "dad" mustard script with yellow icing.
Hamburger Cookies
Step 1
Fill in every other section of the hamburger. I began with the two bun sections and the middle tomato section. Let this icing set.
Then fill in the remaining two sections with green and dark brown icing.
Step 2
For the face details, begin with one side of the mustache. Let this icing set.
Then add the other side of the mustache and add the eyes.
Condiment Cookies
Step 1
Begin by first filling in the top and bottom sections of the mustard bottle. Let this icing set.
Then do the same with the ketchup bottle. Also, add the middle section of the mustard.
Step 2
For the face details, begin with one side of the mustache. Let this icing set.
Then add the other side of the mustache and add the eyes.
Barbecue Grill Cookie
Step 1
Begin by first filling in the white empty space with a thin layer of white icing, as shown.
Once set, add the black lower part of the grill, the black handles at the top, and the middle bar of the stand at the bottom.
Step 2
Next, fill in the upper red section of the grill, and the two lower legs of the stand with gray icing.
Then add one side of the mustache, the top brown handle, the black wheel, and the red stripe in the middle of the grill.
Step 3
Finish off the cookie by adding the other side of the mustache, the eyes, and the wheel center dot on the wheel.
