Template for the Easter Bunny Mug Cookie Sets
To help with the decorating process, I made a PDF template of all the designs of this year's Easter cookie collection, including these Easter Bunny mug cookie set designs.
Click the link below for the downloadable template PDF file.
This file is rather large in data size. Just a warning, it might take a moment before the file opens in your browser.
If you have a Kopykake or Pico projector, just print it out (or pull it up on your mobile device) and you are good to go. For those without a projector, follow the suggested steps below by tracing the design onto the cookie with an edible food marker.
The Cookie Decorating Process
For these bunny mug cookies, you will need the following suggested colors:
- Tan royal icing (I mixed Americolor Taupe with a touch of Americolor Warm Brown and a touch of Americolor Electric Green.)
- Orange icing (I mixed Americolor Orange with a touch of Americolor Taupe.)
- Green icing (I mixed two parts Americolor Egg Yellow and one part Americolor Mint with a touch of Americolor Taupe.)
- Light Blue icing (I used Americolor Wedgewood.)
- Light Pink icing (I used Wilton Pink.)
- White icing (I used Americolor Bright White.)
- Black icing (I used Americolor Super Black.)
Step 1
Starting with the head cookie, begin by filling in the pink inner sections of the ears. Let that icing crust over.
Then fill in the head section around the eye holes with tan icing, as shown. Let this icing set for an hour.
Step 2
Next, fill in the outer parts of the ears with white icing.
Then add the facial details, like the eyes and the nose.
Step 3
For the mug cookie, begin by filling in the main mug area with light blue icing. After the icing sets, fill in the handle section with the same icing, as shown.
Step 4
For the lettering, I made sure the base layer of icing dried completely.
In the shop is this Some Bunny Loves You cookie stencil you can use for the lettering. Just swipe thick white royal icing over it to apply it to the cookie. The video below better illustrates how I did this.
Step 5
An alternative option, this Happy Easter cookie stencil is also available in our shop.
