Bunny Bait Carrot Cookie Cutter
This bunny bait carrot cookie cutter comes in various sizes, but for this tutorial I'm going to be decorating the mini size.
Template for the Bunny Bait Carrot Cookie Cutter
To help with the decorating process, I made a PDF template of all the designs of this year's Easter cookie collection, including this bunny bait carrot cookie cutter.
Click the link below for the downloadable template PDF file.
This file is rather large in data size. Just a warning, it might take a moment before the file opens in your browser.
If you have a Kopykake or Pico projector, just print it out (or pull it up on your mobile device) and you are good to go. For those without a projector, follow the suggested steps below by tracing the design onto the cookie with an edible food marker.
The Cookie Decorating Process
For these bunny bait carrot cookies, you will need the following suggested colors:
- Orange royal icing (I mixed Americolor Orange with a touch of Americolor Taupe.)
- Green icing (I mixed two parts Americolor Egg Yellow and one part Americolor Mint with a touch of Americolor Taupe.)
Royal Icing Process
Here's the icing breakdown for these carrot cookies. I outlined the two leaf sections with green icing. (I added a squiggle of icing to help prevent craters.) Then filled each one separately.
Finish by filling in the main carrot section with orange icing.
Food Pen Accents
Once the icing had time to dry completely, I added lines on the carrot with an orange food pen.
Bunny Bait Cookie Packaging
To elevate your cookie packaging for these bunny bait cookies, I found these adorable plaid treat bags at Clearbags.com. They can easily hold 8 to 10 mini cookies.
To complete the packaging, we now have these Bunny Bait sticker tags. They are 2.5" in size and look great on the plaid bags.
Also, if you prefer to print your Bunny Bait stickers at home, we offer this printable bunny bait sticker version as well.
