Easter Bunny Face Cookie Cutters
Just added to the shop for the upcoming Easter season is this Easter Bunny Heads cookie cutter set. The set includes a boy Easter bunny cutter and a girl Easter bunny cutter. You can also purchase each design individually, as well.
For this tutorial, I'll be decorating the LARGE size version.

Template for the Easter Bunny Cookies
To help with the decorating process, I made a PDF template of all the new Easter cookie cutter designs, including this Easter bunny cookie set.

If you have a Kopykake or Pico projector, just print it out (or pull it up on your mobile device) and you are good to go. For those without a projector, follow the suggested steps below by cutting out the template and tracing the design onto the cookie with an edible food marker.
The Cookie Decorating Process
Decorating cookies always starts with a good royal icing recipe. This is my tried and true royal icing recipe that I always use.
For this Easter bunny cookie set, you will need the following suggested colors (I've added the colors for the other animals as well):
- Tan icing (I mixed Americolor Taupe with a touch of Americolor Warm Brown and a touch of Americolor Electric Green.)
- Gray icing (I used Americolor Stone.)
- Pink icing (I used Wilton Pink with a touch of Americolor Taupe.)
- Ivory icing (I used Americolor Ivory.)
- White icing (I used Americolor Bright White.)
- Orange icing (I used Americolor Orange.)
- Black icing (I used Americolor Super Black.)
- Teal Blue icing (I used Americolor Teal.)
Step 1
Begin by filling in the pink inner sections of the ears. Let that icing crust over.
Then fill in the head section around the eye holes with gray (or ivory) icing, as shown. Let this icing set for an hour.

Step 2
Next fill in the outer parts of the ears and add the white snout.
Then add the eyes, the pink nose, and the bow wing ends of the bow tie.

Step 3
It's time to add the final details like outlining the ears, drawing on the mouth line with this brown food pen, adding the center dot to the bow tie, and outlining the bow tie.
Also, don't forget to add the eyelashes to the girl bunny's eyes. I used this black food pen.

Easter Bunny Cookie Video Tutorial
The steps above are summarized in the time-lapsed video below.
Here are all the finished decorated Easter bunny cookies all grouped together. I used a bunch of different neutral shades for the bunnies' faces and various Easter colors for the bow ties.

Both the REGULAR size and LARGE size would fit nicely in this BRP cookie box (7" x 4 3/8" x 1.25").
