Haunted House Cookie Cutter Set
This thin haunted house cookie cutter is part of this new 4-piece thin haunted house cookie cutter set.
Each of these cookies are 4-inches tall and about 2.3-inches in width. As a collection, they fit perfectly in this BRP long cookie box (12" x 5" x 1.5"). You can purchase these cookie cutters as the 4-piece set, or each one individually.
Template for the Halloween Haunted House Cookies
To help with the decorating process, I made a PDF template of all the designs of this year's Halloween collection, including this Halloween haunted house cookie set.
Click the link below for the downloadable template PDF file.
This file is rather large in data size. Just a warning, it might take a moment before the file opens in your browser.
If you have a Kopykake or Pico projector, just print it out (or pull it up on your mobile device) and you are good to go. For those without a projector, follow the suggested steps below by tracing the design onto the cookie with an edible food marker.
The Cookie Decorating Process
For the colors used for these haunted house cookies, you will need the following suggested colors:
- White royal icing (I used Americolor Bright White.)
- Light Teal icing (I mixed Americolor Wedgewood with Forest Green and a tiny touch of Super Black.)
- Dark Teal icing (I added more color gel of the light teal icing above.)
- Black icing (I used Americolor Super Black.)
- Gray icing (I just used a tiny amount of Super Black.)
- Dark Brown icing (I mixed Americolor Chocolate Brown. with Super Black.)
- Yellow icing (I mixed Americolor Egg Yellow with a tiny touch of Super Black.)
Step 1
Begin by filling in the door with dark teal icing, the two windows with yellow icing, and the side roof section with gray icing. Let this icing set for about 20 minutes.
Then fill in the surrounding house siding area with light teal icing.
Step 2
Once the base layer of icing had time to set, add the dark teal shutters and the top gray roofline. Let this icing dry for about an hour.
Then add the gray window sills and the outline details, as shown.
Step 3
Lastly, draw on the window pane lines with a black food pen.
