Oven Mitt Cookie Cutters & Stencils Bundle
Added to the shop for this spring season, this 4-Pc Baking Oven Mitt Cookie Cutters & Stencils Bundle comes with two cookie cutters and two cookie stencils.
When assembled, this Mother's Day set would fit nicely in this BRP cookie box (7" x 4 3/8" x 1.25").
Template for the Oven Mitt Cookie Set
To help with the decorating process, I made a PDF template of all the designs of this year's Mother's Day cookie collection, including this baking oven mitt cookie set design.

This file is rather large in data size. Just a warning, it might take a moment before the file opens in your browser.
If you have a Kopykake or Pico projector, just print it out (or pull it up on your mobile device) and you are good to go. For those without a projector, follow the suggested steps below by tracing the design onto the cookie with an edible food marker.
The Cookie Decorating Process
For the colors used for these oven mitt cookies, you will need the following suggested colors:
- Light Blue royal icing (I mixed Americolor Sky Blue with Turquoise.)
- Green icing (I mixed Americolor Egg Yellow with Mint Green.)
- Tan icing (I mixed Americolor Orange, Americolor Electric Green, with a touch of Americolor Chocolate Brown.)
- White icing (I used Americolor Bright White.)
- Gray icing (I used Americolor Ash.)
- Dark Brown icing (I used Americolor Chocolate Brown.)
- Turquoise Amerimist Airbrush color
Step 1
Starting with the top cookie, begin by filling in the rolling pin section with tan icing and the whisk section with white icing, as shown. Let that icing set.
Once it had time to crust over, fill in the middle spatula section with green icing.
Step 2
Once the base layer of icing had time to dry, add the rolling pin handle, the brown spatula handle, and the wires of the whisk.
Finish this cookie by added the middle detail of the spatula and the outlines for the rolling pin and spatula.
Step 3
For the oven mitt cookie, flood the entire cookie with light blue icing and let it dry completely.
Next, using the tufted pattern cookie stencil, I airbrushed onto the cookie with Turquoise airbrush color. Let this color dry.
Step 4
After the airbrushed pattern dried, I applied the message onto this cookie with this Happy Mother's Day Cookie Stencil. I used very stiff white royal icing and swiped it across the stencil onto the cookie.
Step 5
To complete the oven mitt cookie, I added a cuff detail and outlined the mitt for dimension.
