If you've been following this blog for a few years, you might remember I made skull candle cookies before. Back then, I used a cupcake with a candle cookie cutter as a base for those cookies. The candle section at the top was so delicate, I don't know if any survived long after the photos were taken. Now that I make my own cookie cutters, I wanted to revisit the idea and see if I could make a more sturdy design.

It may seem that I'm on this morbid, skeleton kick lately. Which is understandable with the skull candle cookies in my last post and these skull couple cookies in this one. The truth is when it comes to decorating skull cookies, I like to consider them as somewhat of a blank canvas.

Hello, September! The autumn season is so close I can literally feel and see it! When there's pumpkin spice flavor options showing up on the grocery shelves and it's finally cooling off at night, Fall has arrived! I've been so inspired by the season change I came up with a relatively easy fall cookie cutter set just for this occasion.

I love the flavors of fall. Cinnamon, allspice, and cloves add such a wonderful autumn bite to baked goods, kind of like a cozy sweater that hugs your taste buds. Those fall spices also leave your kitchen smelling fantastic. If you want to "spice" up your typical sugar cookie recipe this season, here's a great, tasty alternative. I've posted my pumpkin spice cookie recipe a few years ago, but I've made a few tweaks to the original recipe since then. Have you seen the previews to the new season of The Walking Dead yet? I promise no spoilers from me, but I'm really looking forward to the cliffhanger reveal from the last season. With the new fall shows, like The Walking Dead, starting up and the Halloween season just kicking in, I've always associated zombies and Halloween to be a killer combo.
