Happy October, everyone! This month I have a special announcement and a fun charity opportunity I’d think you’d enjoy.

Let me first begin with the special announcement. Just added to the shop is a new “Bake the World a Better Place” cookie cutter. This cookie globe design was inspired by this graphic Sweet Sugarbelle shared a few months ago. With her permission, I turned her graphic with its wonderful message into a cookie cutter design.

Now on to the charity part. During the whole month of October, for every purchase of this new “Bake the World a Better Place” cookie cutter, $5 will be donated to the Go Bo! Foundation.

But that’s not all! I’m also teaming up with Samantha, of frostedbox. One of these cookie globe cookie cutters will be included in her special Go Bo! boxes available this week. I’ll go more into detail about these boxes down below. But for now, here’s how you can recreate these “Bake the World a Better Place” cookie globe cookies yourself!

“Bake the World a Better Place” Cookie Cutter

This cookie globe cookie cutter was just added to the shop.

The design was based off of our Cookie Cuties lapel pins. I place the “bitten” cookie design in a globe design, but made sure the globe’s base connection was supported and sturdy.

Template for the Cookie Globe Cookies

I provided a template of the “Bake the World a Better Place” cookie design as a guide.

You can download the cookie globe cookie template HERE.

If you have a Kopykake or Pico projector, just print it out (or pull it up on your mobile device) and you are good to go. For those without a projector, follow the suggested steps below by tracing the design onto the cookie with an edible food marker.

Decorating Process

You will need to following suggested colors:

Sad Note

For some unknown reason, my pink icing color faded over time. That’s why you see a bold pink in the tutorial images, but a faded, light pink in the final images. Such a bummer!

  1. For those without a projector, mark guidelines where the cookie and globe sections should be, as shown. I made a template with template plastic from the PDF file above and used a food marker to draw the guideline on the cookie.

  2. Begin by filling in the cookie and alternating globe sections. Let the icing dry for a bit, then fill the remaining globe sections. Also, add the darker “cookie edge” section.

Let the icing set for about 20 minutes.

  3. Once the base layer had time to set, add the cookie icing layer and the yellow globe details, as shown below. Let this icing dry for about 1 to 2 hours.

After the pink icing had time to dry, add the face detail. Also, I added a cookie edge outline for more defined dimension.

  4. Add the finishing touches, as shown below.

As noted in the color section above, the bold, pink icing color faded before taking the final image below. My guess is I might have let these cookies dry too close a window with direct sunlight. This was the first time a color faded on to me. So bummed, but oh well.

Truly inspired and amazing as always, Mike. I absolutely LOVE this cause and look forward to participating next year (I SO overbooked myself this August through December that I can’t see straight 😉😄😄 and couldn’t participate 😔). What FABULOUS people in this wonderful cookie community… I’m so happy to be learning and inspired by all of you!! Blessings!! 😙🤗😎❤🌻

  3. These turned out so cute! So strange how the icing faded! I’ve never seen that either! Now I want to experiment 😂
Thank you so much for this awesome project!

  4. They’re just adorable, Mike! I have the cookie cute lapel pin, and already baked a cookie to match, but it’s in the freezer. Guess I will decorate it along with this cute globe! Great job (as usual) and great cause!
